The ABC Board Receiving Unit is responsible for unloading incoming trailers and checking the loads for correctness. This series consists of Merchandise Receiving Reports (Form W-1), prepared by the warehouse supervisor on a daily basis, to record merchandise received into the ABC Warehouse. The form provides information as to purchase order, date received, vendor's name, carrier and truck number, ABC code number, quantity (cases/bottles), size of merchandise, brand name, proof, and age. The bottom part of the form indicates any exception in receipt such as shortages, overages, damage, or lack of proper codes. Copies of the report are sent to the Accounting Division for payment.
